Opportunity Knocks: Join the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council Governing Board

An opportunity has emerged within the Los Feliz Neighborhood Council’s governing board, as the District A seat awaits a new leader. The council seeks an enthusiastic individual to fill this role and see out the current term.

The appointed individual will serve until spring 2027, presenting an excellent chance to engage in leadership without the need for a general election campaign. Selection will be based on a majority vote by the existing board members.

To qualify, candidates must be at least 18 years old and either reside or work within District A. District representatives typically serve four-year terms, unless they’re filling a vacated position, in which case they’ll serve the remaining term.

Candidates must submit their candidacy documents by 7:30 pm on March 12, 2024. A meeting of the Governing Board is scheduled for March 19, 2024, at 7:30 pm, during which candidates’ statements will be published on the LFNC website and distributed to the board for review.

All candidates are encouraged to attend this Governing Board meeting, where their candidacy will be assessed. Following a question-and-answer session, the Governing Board will vote via written ballots to appoint the successful candidate, who will assume the position immediately after the vote count.
