A devastating incident unfolded outside a Los Feliz shopping center on Saturday when a pedestrian was struck and killed by a semi-truck.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:23 p.m. at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd. and North Vermont Ave. The semi, identified as a Sysco food truck, was maneuvering near a strip mall, exiting the parking lot and entering the roadway when the collision occurred. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Authorities have stated that the driver of the semi remained present following the accident. However, the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation, leaving the community of Los Feliz reeling from the tragedy.
