Lazy Acres Natural Market Celebrates One Year in Los Feliz

Los Feliz, Calif. – Lazy Acres Natural Market is celebrating the first-year anniversary of their Los Feliz location with a community celebration. A thankyou to the neighbors who have extended a warm welcome to the store as well as celebrating the store’s staff that have helped to make it feel like the neighborhood market it has become. The celebration also includes the non-profit Envirotoken partners from the community as well. Over the last year, Lazy Acres Los Feliz has donated $75,000 to local organizations in the community.

“Since we opened last summer, the support from this community has been overwhelming,” said Los Feliz Store Director David Schaefer. “From gathering in our Sunshine Room for classes, to supporting our Envirotoken partners by bringing their own bags, to getting to know our amazing employees, Los Feliz customers have quickly embraced us as their neighborhood favorite.

”The community celebration will be held on Saturday, August 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lazy Acres Los Feliz, located at 1841 N. Western Ave.

All attendees will receive a goodie bag with special samples for both kids and adults while supplies last, and will be entered to win one of two $250 Lazy Acres gift cards or one of four free cooking classes. When community members sign-up for Lazy Acres’ emailers, they will also receive a $10 discount on a future class! Featured Sunshine Room Chefs will be sampling some of their signature dishes as a preview for the upcoming schedule. The whole family can enjoy activities, food and drink samples, andmore surprises.

The Los Feliz store features Lazy Acres’ Envirotoken program, which rewards local non-profits when customers make the sustainable choice to keep single-use bags out of local landfills. When customers shop with their own grocery bags, Lazy Acres donates10 cents to a neighborhood non-profit. Current partners are Cheremoya Foundation, Covenant House California, L.A.C.E.R After School Programs, Tailwaggers Foundation, The Center Hollywood, and Youth Emerging Stronger (LA Youth Network). Since opening last summer, the store has raised $10,500 for local organizations through the Envirotokens program alone.

During the celebration and the week following, there will also be special in-store deals exclusive to Los Feliz, on customer favorites such as grass-fed Wagyu beef, sustainable, wild-caught seafood, housemade treats like The Cookie, and big savings throughout the Natural Living department.
